Echo Lake Trails Association was formed to encourage and support fun, community, and healthy living all year round. ELTA is a 501-c3 non-profit organization and we exist mostly by grants from the Recreation Trails Program made possible by Fish, Wildlife & Parks.and generous donations from local community businesses and users. The group also is made up of a great team of volunteers who work tirelessly to keep the trails clean and ready for all forms of travel.
Our main trailhead with ample parking and a warming hut is called Midway. It’s on the main Discovery road about a 1/4 mile before Discovery Ski area. The warming hut is great place to take the chill off and connect with friends. This parking area gives users access to both the Cable Trails and the Echo Lake Trails. Other trailheads are Echo Lake (very limited parking) Discovery Ski area, and Red Lion snowmobile parking area.
