We are all set for some great skiing on Saturday because Gary Adams and John McDonald groomed today. Enjoy the weekend!
Grooming Experiment 2-18-20
We did an experiment today. Anaconda Snowmobile Club and groomer operator, Nick Roche came and ran their Prinoth groomer on EL and Powerline trails. It widened, leveled and smoothed the surface beyond what we can do with our equipment. The next time you see Nick or any of the ASC members, be sure to thank them in helping maintain the ELTA trails. Skaters, let us know if it improved your skating experience.

We are finally catching up from this last weeks snows. Echo Lake trail was graded back wide again and finish groomed. Hopefully the soft skate lanes have stiffened up a bit. All trails on the EL side have been track groomed. Mark Switek

Moose alert
Grooming report 2-7-20
Ya hoo. We finally are getting the snow we have been waiting for. We compacted the snow on all the trails this morning but with the forecast, it will be a bushwack weekend. More snow for today through Sunday and it won’t harden up any time soon. It’s going to be a poor weekend for skating or track skiing. It will be great to get back to the roots of Nordic skiing and enjoy getting out on the fatties.

ELTA News Feb. 4, 2020
Mark groomed and set beautiful tracks on Echo Lake trail, Flossies Flurry, Paradise and Powerline today as well as Cable trails. Great skiing today.
Weather forecast looks like we are finally going to get a “wicked stawm” over the next few days, so hopefully we should see great coverage on Paradise and Powerline. At least we won’t be skiing in conditions like this:
