Trail Use Guidelines

All of our trails are on USFS land. The Pintler Ranger District of the Anaconda-Deerlodge National Forest administers our joint agreement and is a huge asset to our mission.
Here are rules and guidelines we post for users:

Dogs are allowed. Please leave aggressive dogs at home. Flick dog poop off the trail. There is no garbage service so we discourage bagging dog poop. If you do, take it home with you.

Walkers are not encouraged but allowed. Please please walk to the edge of the trails across from the set ski tracks – not down the middle to the trail. Boot divets freeze overnight and are an extreme hazard to skiers – especially skate skiers who travel up to 25 mph.

Fat bikes are allowed but all riders must know the etiquette of when and where to ride. Please ride on the 1/3 of the groomed trail opposite the set track. Do not ride if the snow is soft and you are leaving a rut. If you are climbing and can’t stay to the side, dismount and walk or turn around. Again, ruts in the middle of the trail are an extreme hazard to skiers.

Uphill skiers should yield to skiers coming downhill.
