Grooming Report 2-6-24

Trails were groomed this morning and the skate lane was buffed out this evening after a warm day and lots of use. Should be good skiing in the morning. We still cannot recommend skiing Cable Run trail although Powder Monkey and Cable loop are in good shape.

More snow is in the forecast for tomorrow and tomorrow night, so we will likely groom next on Thursday or Friday. See you out there!

Grooming Report 2-5-24

Snowfall has greatly improved the skiing. We are making new base on the trails with thin coverage. Crews will be grooming in the morning and we will provide an update afterwards. Nice to see some snow!

Grooming Report 1-26-24

This from Mike and Pam:
Friday morning grooming report: we ran the Ginzus over the skating side of Echo, Fun K, and Flossies. We couldn’t set new tracks but left the ones that were holding up. Need more snow before I dare to Ginzus the other trails:) Have a great day.

Grooming Report 1-22-24

Greetings!

We groomed the skate lanes this morning to smooth them out from weekend traffic. We did not set new classic tracks. New set tracks would have been better for an hour or so – then too soft, then ice up again this evening.

Echo Lake trail and most of Flossies still have decent coverage. Fun K is now marginal. Cable Loop has mostly good coverage but no track set.

We will resume grooming Paradise, Powerline, Cable Run, and Powder Monkey when we get more snow.

See you out there!

Grooming Report 1-19-24

Trails were groomed last night. Echo Lake, Flossies, and Fund K are in great shape.

Paradise, Powerline, Cable Run and Powder Monkey remain lacking in snow coverage.

Grooming Report 1-14-24

Trails were groomed this evening. There was enough snow to set tracks on Fun K, Flossies, and Echo Lake trails. Skating should be nice on these trails tomorrow (Happy MLK Jr. Day).

Paradise, Powerline, Cable Run, and Powder Monkey still need more snow for coverage.

Grooming Report 1-10-24

Greetings! Trails were groomed this morning although track setting was not possible on most trails. We got another inch or so after grooming.
Echo Lake trail, Midway, Fun K, and Flossies Flurry are all skiing OK. The other trails are still lacking coverage.
We are hopeful for more snow tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday -and if it materializes we will groom before the temperatures drop below zero. See you out there soon!

Groomng Report 12-27-23

We groomed trails this morning. Not enough snow to set tracks yet but decent coverage on the following trails:
Echo Lake, Fun K, Midway, Flossie’s Flurry.
Paradise and Powerline need more snow as do Cable trails and Powder monkey.

You all are terrible snow dancers.❄️💃🕺

Grooming Report 12-15-23

This from Mark this morning:
An update on Elta Trail conditions are not too promising. There is a very thin base layer that make the smoothest of trails skiable but that is it. Midway to Echo lake, Echo Lake from the ski area to within a few hundred yards of the lake trailhead and fun k can be skied without hitting rocks. Paradise has willows but is skiable. Flossy’s east side is skiable but it’s an up and back with a careful eye on an occasional obstacle. The rest of it is a rock garden. Cable loop has parts that are covered but the steep hill and the section by the parking lot are rocky. Same withe the lower cable and powder monkey. Best bet is to stay on the Echo Lake side and avoid Flossy’s.

Grooming Report 12-6-2023

Greetings to all you Nordic skiers anxiously awaiting snow! It looks like Thursday might be the beginning of real winter.

We are all set and ready to groom the trails as soon as conditions allow. We look forward to seeing you.
